ECRU/INDIGO
This product is an exclusive color in collaboration with A TEMPO RUBATO. Based on the standard Oxford model, the canvas upper is combined with an indigo-colored sole. For the canvas used for the upper, the original coarse weave that was equivalent to 10oz was woven with an old-fashioned power loom. The raw fabric is not dyed, so the original texture of the fabric can be fully enjoyed without a loss of quality. The footbed is made of cork, which is a naturally breathable material. The included cotton shoelace comes in a standard ecru color as well as an indigo color. The design is simple yet striking, in line with the philosophies of both brands.
A TEMPO RUBATO
The brand "a tempo rubato" ("stolen time" in Italian) was launched by Olivier Dannefalk in Stockholm in 2019. Experienced in Ralph Lauren and vintage stores, Mr. Dannefalk's items are based on clean Scandinavian classic styles, but with a thorough attention to materials, silhouettes, details, and colors. The contemporary and unique clothing embodies the motto "easy elegance".

“Doek” is the original brand of GoodWeaver. Doek is the Dutch word which is the etymology of the Japanese word zukku (“canvas”). Its original meaning is “textile”. The mission of “Doek” is to “make sneakers with high-quality textiles”. From expressive canvas made from old-fashioned power looms, to modern fabrics made with new technologies. They create products that complement the material.

- The power loom was invented in the United Kingdom at the end of the 18th century and is said to have brought about the Industrial Revolution. The attractiveness of the original canvas that was woven by this old-fashioned machine, in which the weft threads are inserted by the back-and-forth motion of the shuttle moving left and right, comes from the fluffy texture that seems to contain more air inside it. It is still being woven at a workshop in the Chikugo region of Fukuoka Prefecture.

- Please remove the laces when washing. Put powder detergent (neutral detergent) in lukewarm water and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Rub soap on the dark spots of the upper fabric, and rub it with a brush so that it foams up. Please do not be too forceful here so as not to damage the fabric. Dirt on the rubber part of the sole can be effectively removed by rubbing it with a melamine sponge. Next, once thoroughly rinsed with lukewarm water until there are no more bubbles, please stuff a towel inside the sneaker so as to keep its shape, then spin-dry them in a dryer for about 10 to 30 seconds. Afterwards, it is recommended that they be dried in the sun or in the shade in a well-ventilated place as quickly as possible.
